Nocturnal scenes, with a Moonlight Owl in them, are a favourite combination with me. There's something both magical and mystical about that time of day. Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream plays with the medieval notion that the woods are a place outside the everyday world; a place outside the conventions of society and rationality.
