A walk along The York Bar Walls is a great way to explore York, North Yorkshire. In spring, you can see the 'host of golden daffodils' on the steep banks below the fortifications. The Victorians wanted to demolish the Bar Walls, but local artists and famous son of York, William Etty, saved them for prosperity.
